I live in the country and my cats and dog are always out wondering around. I have 4 and half acres and have not had the funds to put up a inclosing fence for the property. So unfortunately my dog was hit by a car last summer. The vet bill was over $500.00. I am not sure if this collar would have prevented the accident. I am sure it would have if the person did not have intentions to purposely hit my dog.

This truly is a awesome product and I would like to get some for my cats if they make them. At first I was kind of disappointed because it was so big, but then I read closer in product description that it can be trimmed down to fit. I did ot really see how to trim it, so I looked in reviews ad seen where one person had and took their advice. It was pretty simple. I was able to cut to where it would still slide over her head so it will be easier to take off to recharge. Seems to be of good quality materials and looking forward to it lasting a long time. I love most about this collar is that it can be recharged!!!! Off the outlet, a sell phone, or a computer, so nice and convent!!!
